Strong wire and extra wide gape works great for bead head nymphs like PT and Hare's Ear. Should work well for medium-sized stonefly nymphs as well. Like how Firehole hooks stay sharp even after bouncing off rocks!

Excellent nymph hook
Excellent wide-gap nymph hook. Perfect for brassies and some wets/soft hackles, though use caution if using a nylon or silk thread, as strands can get caught and pulled in the eye.
