This is an excellent addition to the Chenille/estaz type of material. The small size equates to a medium chenille . The medium size is large enough to make a full size body on a fly. I couldn’t Palmer a hackle through it and get it to look right. Great colors.

Great body Material for many types of patters
I gravitate towards synthetics. While I have an extensive library of natural materials, I have found synthetic work well in the waters I fish. It can allow for a braoder range of innovation.
I use this mostly with bead heads and jig patterns. I really like the soft body that it presents to the fish. I have about 10 different colors but Chartreuse and Brown are the best for me. Easy to apply but do not use too much tension or the squishy will not be there. Makes for a nice buggy fly. In UV light it is bright. Add a tail or collar and get lots of movement

Body material for stonefly
I use this to form the body of a stonefly nymph. Works great.
