Unfortunately, I kept breaking thread no matter how gently I tied. I ended up getting a couple of their ceramic bobbins which always work well for me.

If it gets scratched at the tip on the inside it WILL cut and tear your thread

They just work. The only issue I had was I had to bend them apart so that my thread would move more smoothly, but after that it's been perfect great. And for $3 I can't complain much at all
