Was pleasantly surprised that the hares ear blends actually have some spiky guard hairs in varying shades; actually feels like it came off a hares mask. I have my own hares ear blends that I cut from a hares mask and blend, but this hares ear blend has longer fibers and is obviously easier.
in other colors, it's very consistent and doesn't seem to have any color differentiation, so I often blend the other colors. I prefer buying this over buying pre-blended synthetic/rabbit dubbing mixes, as sometimes I'll use this straight, and other times I'll mix in a coffee grinder or hand blend with other materials.
dubs on very easy and it's possible to make very thin dubbing noodles. chocolate brown makes a great body for PMD nymphs.
