The tool steel jaws of this vise can be rotated 360 degrees for winding materials and viewing. The hardened steel jaws are operated by a powerful spring action, with a lever for hook release. Vise has a black stem, black jaws and brass clamp fittings, with polished brass vise head and adjustment knobs that combine for a great appearance. Hex wrench included for adjustment of jaw angle.

Very good vised
This vise works well. Hold both large and small hook solidly. The only issue I had was with the "C" clamp. The throat could be about a 1/2" deeper. the deck that I use has an ogee trim edge on it, so needed a deeper throat to get the vise solidly attached to the desk top. I changed the clamp that came with the vise, with the one on my existing vise. Problem solved.

Adequate, but low quality
You get what you pay for. Not great quality. The **** on the end was stripped when arrived and had to epoxy back on. Does the job when I need a rotary vise, but certainly won't replace my Regal vise for all other applications.
