One of the arms of my dubbing whirler broke off while tying balanced leeches. So, I bought another one of those since that is what I have always used and I also bought this soft grip dubbing twister.
I am really impressed with the twister. It is very comfortable to use and much easier to use than my whirler. The loop is thicker diameter than either my bodkin or whip finisher so it is unlikely it will ever break. Because the handle is long, it does not "self-spin" like my whirler. It is very easy to fill the loop with dubbing since it stays open. It spins a tighter loop easier and faster than my whirler.
