TMC has a reputation for being super strong, super sharp, very durable and ultra dependable... Especially for commercial fly tiers. These 101's are no different, they are exceptional. Personally, I love the 101's! They are my favorite dry fly hook, period. They're a joy to tie on and fish with. They're super sharp and very strong even for a 1x fine wire. I use these primarily for my adult mayfly and midge patterns. They work particularly well for "thorax duns" and "parachute" patterns.
