TMC 2499SP-BL Barbless Stout Curved Fly Hook

I use these for zebra midges. Wish there was a size 22. the slightly upturned point helps to keep the fish hooked on the small flies. Works great for Hopper Juans as well

This is my go to hook for midges and any nymph where the short length isn't an issue. I use them for egg patterns, worms, spikes...if I can I use these hooks, I do. Nothing worse than fighting a nice size fish and losing it because your hook has straightened. I release all of my fish, so I want the hook to slide out easily when I've landed them, and these do. Expensive, but worth it! I have them in size 10-18, depending on what I'm tying. Great for emergers too!

This is the best hook for tying midges or scuds or ....... The hook is super sharp and barbless AND has a wide gap for better hookups. I have increased my catch by using this hook alone. It is awesome and I tie with nothing else.
